illustrare is composed of musicians who have the desire to add, to balance and harmony, the creativity and desire to communicate all that resides in music and cannot be explained with words. The name “Illustrare” refers to the power of music to illustrate and create images with sound.
In this ensemble, the experience is enriched by friendship and passion for music, transmitting a communicative energy with listeners.
Ana, Marta, Andrès and Baptiste come from three different countries (Spain, Poland and France) and this gives the group an enrichment of knowledge where every personal experience counts.
The group was awarded the special prize at the Xixón 2022 early music video competition and won the springboard at the Mloda Muzyka Dawna festival in Poland, as well as the Prix Gli Angeli Genève 2024.

Marta Gawlas was born in Cieszyn, Poland. Her passion for historical flutes dates back to her childhood, and she studied the flute in Katowice, Verona, Brussels and Geneva. She gives many concerts as a soloist and in ensembles in Poland and abroad. Marta is a member of Arte dei Suonatori , Capella Cracoviensis and Ensemble Cohaere , and also collaborates with musicians such as Sophie Junker, Marcin Świątkiewicz, Louis Creac'h and Martin Gester. She is the winner of numerous international competitions, both as soloist and chamber musician, in Poland, France and Italy. She has taken part in numerous early music masterclasses in Poland and abroad, and continues to perfect her skills with many of the world's leading flute virtuosos.

Ana Fernández Anguita is flutist specialized in early music. She has performed under the direction of renowned conductors such as Paul Agnew, Laurence Equilbey, Sigiswald Kuijken, Marcin Świątkiewicz and Reinoud van Mechelen. She has also performed with various ensembles at international festivals such as Musique et Mémoire in France, the International Contius Bachfestival in Belgium, Misteria Paschalia and Opera rara Kraków both in Poland, the 26th Telemann Festival in Magdeburg, the FeMAUB Festival in Úbeda and Baeza, the Fringe Festival in Utrecht, and the Rosa do Mundo Festival in Portimão.
As a member of the Vestigium ensemble, she was awarded third prize in the Mauricio Pratola competition in L'Aquila and first prize in the Juventudes Musicales d'Espagne competition in the early music specialty, as well as three special prizes in the same competition.

Andrés García Fraile viola da gamba and cello player, began his training with Javier Aguirre at the Salamanca Conservatory. He pursued advanced studies in viola da gamba and baroque cello at the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles with Philippe Pierlot and Hervé Douchy. He then deepened his pedagogical knowledge with a master's degree in instrumental teaching at the Haute École de Musique de Genève, in Bruno Cocset's Baroque cello class. He also attended masterclasses with renowned musicians such as Christophe Coin, Paolo Pandolfo, Hille Perl, Mieneke van der Velden, Itziar Atutxa and Fahmi Alqhai. Thanks to this training, he works as a viola da gamba teacher at the CRR in Grenoble, and has also taught cello in several schools in the Haute-Savoie region. He considers teaching an essential activity for any professional musician. He also pursues an international career with several early music ensembles, and is a founding member of the Vestigium ensemble, which won 1st prize at the Juventudes Musicales de España competition in 2023 and 3rd prize at the Maurizio Pratola International Early Music Competition in L'Aquila (Italy) in 2024.

Baptiste Zeronian was born in Pau, in the south-west of France between the mountains and the ocean. He studied harpsichord and sackbut in Lyon, Geneva and The Hague with teachers Catherine Latzarus, Kenneth Weiss, Carole Cerasi, Béatrice Martin, Anne Marie Dragosits, Wim Becu and Stefan Legée.
A member of Illustrare Ensemble, Camerata Patrimonio Sonoro and Ensemble Murmure, he gives numerous concerts in France and abroad at festivals. He has taken part in masterclasses with musicians such as Jean Rondeau, Christine Schörscheim and Ton Koopman.
In 2024, with Ensemble Murmure, he won the Prix Première at the FestiVita! festival in Brussels.
In 2024, he released the CD A la mode française with Camerata Patriomonio Sonoro.
